Active Directory (AD) Password Reset

 

Step 1: Login

  • Make sure you have the AD tools from RSAT Installed.
  • Use Domain Admin (DA) credentials to login to “Active Directory Users and Groups”.

Step 2: Navigate

  • You can expand the domain “drphillipscenter.biz” to show more options.
    1. Expand “Employees”.
      • Users
  • Alternatively, right click on “drphillipscenter.biz”
    1. Select “Find”
    2. Enter name of user then select “Find Now”

Phase 3: Reset

  • Right click on User
  • Reset Password
  • New password needs to be 16 characters long and include: 1 capital letter, 1 number and 1 special character.
  • Leave the box checked for “User must change password at next logon”.
  • IF the account is locked you can also unlock the account from here.
