SureMDM

 

To manage our Dayforce Timeclocks we utilize a Mobile Device Management (MDM) tool called SureMDM. These timeclocks are necessary to allow Full and Part Time Colleagues to clock in and out for their shifts. The Timeclocks are Samsung SM-X200 Android tablets locked down into Kiosk mode and set to the Dayforce Timeclock URL.

Step 1: Login

  • Navigate to SureMDM
  • Login with shared helpdesk login from Dashlane

Step 2: Navigation

  • You’ll primarily stay in the “Home” tab
  • From here you can:
    1. View information like Online status or Battery Life
    2. Remote into Timeclocks
    3. Restart
    4. Manage
      • **If a change is needed, contact your Senior IT Analyst or IT Helpdesk Manager. **

Phase 3: Remote Control

  • Select the row of the device you want to remote into.
  • On the top ribbon there is an option to remote into the device
    1. A new tab will open and remote into the device
    2. IF locked, you can use “Swipe to Unlock” on the bottom ribbon
    3. **Remote control may pause while inactive**
      • Select “Resume” to continue
  • If you need to exit Kiosk mode, you can select “Exit SureLock”
    1. Code is 0000
    2. **place device back in kiosk mode when done**

Phase 4: Dayforce

  • Dayforce routinely logs out
    1. URL should be preset:
    2. To login:
      • Company = DRPHILLIPS
      • Clock Name = DRP Clock #
        • 1 – Loading Dock
        • 2 – Loading Dock ADA
        • 3 – 2nd Floor Education
        • 4 – 3rd Floor Kitchen
        • 5 – 4th Floor Volunteer Office
      • Security code = 032221
  • IF you get an error message about “Device not registered”; restart the tablet.
    1. If that doesn’t work you can go back one page to the URL selection screen.
      • Hit “unregister” to force a resync.
      • Restart tablet.

Phase 5: Restart

  • From the main menu
    1. Select the row of the device you want to restart
    2. In the top ribbon, click the 3 vertical dots for more options
    3. Reboot Device
      • *Reboot can take ~5 minutes
  • From Remote control
    1. Exit SureLock
    2. Swipe Down on screen to reveal the menu
      • Power Botton
      • Restart
  • IF neither of those options work; manually restart the tablet.
    1. The key for the enclosures is on the wall with a yellow prolights keychain
      • **put key back when done**
    2. Unscrew device from inside the enclosure
    3. Hold power button
      • Restart
  • Follow login procedures for Dayforce!
